Biography

Jonathan H. Koenig is Appellate Division Chief in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He has been a federal prosecutor for fourteen years and argues frequently before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Before joining the Justice Department in September of 2002, he served as Senior Law Clerk to the Honorable Rudolph T. Randa, District Judge, Eastern District of Wisconsin. From 1997 to 2000, Jonathan practiced law with the firm of Zelle, Hoffman, Voelbel & Gette LLP, specializing in insurance coverage litigation. Earlier, he served as Law Clerk to the Hon. John L. Coffey, Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Jonathan is a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University (A.B., 1987) and also holds degrees from Cornell University (M.A., 1989) and William & Mary Law School (J.D., 1995).
