Lori Kornblum

Lori Kornblum served as a Judge on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District II.   She is an Adjunct Professor at Marquette University Law School, where she teaches a workshop course on Negotiation and one on Child Abuse and The Law.  Prof. Kornblum also  is an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University Law School, MLS program, where she teaches Negotiation and Advocacy.  Lori Kornblum is a full time Faculty member of Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), Paralegal Department, the Business Administration Department, and HR Management Department.   Ms. Kornblum teaches a variety of legal courses, including Legal Research, Legal Writing, Criminal Practice, Corporate Practice, Debtor/Creditor Law, Civil Procedure, Legal Environment of Business, Real Estate Law, Business Law, Legal issues in HR Law.  Ms. Kornblum is an active practicing attorney, licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and California.  Her private practice focuses on Adult Services,  GAL in Probate and Family law, Guardianships, and child abuse.  She continues to research and write on issues of child abuse and the law, particularly how they impact family law cases.   Ms. Kornblum currently serves on the board of Wisconsin CASA, as well as L'Chaim Chaverut Northshore.  She is a past board member of Milwaukee Center for Children and Youth, and other organizations.      Prior to becoming a full time faculty member at MATC, Ms. Kornblum served as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, for 22 years. As an Assistant District Attorney, she served in various roles, including supervisory positions specializing in Child Abuse and Neglect.   Ms. Kornblum represented the District Attorney's Office on community task forces, and helped develop and implement protocols for  Child Abuse and Neglect investigations. She has been a frequent trainer and speaker throughout the local area, statewide and nationally.   Ms. Kornblum was a founding member and Director of WIPSAC (Wisconsin Professional Society on the Abuse of Children), and served as president.  She is a Member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, State Bar of California, Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin, and other organizations.  She received her JD from University of California-Berkeley School of Law in 1982, and her AB from Yale University in 1979, graduating with honors (Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa).
