Biography

 Michelle Bergholz Frazier serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer for Aurora Health Care, Inc. 

Relevant Experience:- Advises health care entities on Medicare and Medicaid compliance, which includes survey and certification; coverage and billing/payment issues; design and implementation of compliance programs; compliance reviews and disclosure obligations; and, government investigation and inquiries.- Counsels on state licensing requirements, The Joint Commission Accreditation Standards, and Fraud & Abuse/Stark regulations.- Assists with a wide range of medical staff issues, including the review and creation of medical staff bylaws and governing documents, HCQIA/Peer Review laws, professional practice regulation, and licensure and scope of practice issues.- Advises on patient care issues and risk management including medical staff issues and corrective action plans; caregiver background checks and reporting obligations; informed consent issues; and, medical records and privacy.

She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Health Care Compliance Association, State Bar of Wisconsin, State Bar of Minnesota and American Bar Association.
