Biography
Rev. Nathaniel Romano, S.J. has been the Assistant Director for Liturgical Programs at Marquette University since July of 2022 and is an adjunct professor at Marquette Law. Prior to arriving at Marquette, Fr. Romano served as Visiting Professor and Drinan Scholar at Boston College Law School, as well as a member of the BC campus ministry team. During his formation as a Jesuit, he also taught at Creighton University in their civil legal clinic.
Fr. Romano holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a focus in Law & Religion from Emory University, where won the Gertie and John Witte Prize for Outstanding Work in Law & Christianity. As part of his formation for priesthood with the Jesuits, he also holds a Master of Arts in Philosophical Resources from Fordham University and a Master of Divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University. Additionally, he has practiced in a small firm setting in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and landlord-tenant law. His scholarly focuses have been in the fields of law and religion and constitutional law and theory.
