Peter Coffey

Peter Coffey is a partner with the Milwaukee law firm Michael Best & Friedrich focusing on the financing, acquisition and sale of businesses. He regularly counsels individuals and corporate clients in the structuring and negotiating of strategic alliances, technology licensing and distribution arrangements, executive compensation and family succession strategies. Mr. Coffey's experience includes hostile and negotiated tender offers, management buyouts and corporate governance issues. In the financing area, he has represented investors and lenders in start-ups and venture capital transactions, tender offers, and recapitalizations. Mr. Coffey also interacts with regulatory agencies in a variety of public financing, licensing, environmental and procurement matters. He assisted a prominent LBO firm in the successful resolution of the largest D.O.L., I.R.S. and private litigation involving an ESOP.
