Randy Parlee

Mr. Parlee was educated at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (B. A. Honors, with distinction, 1976; M. A., 1981) and Marquette University Law School (J. D., 1983).  While at Marquette he served as the Lead Articles Editor for the Marquette Law Review and received the Dean’s Award for service to the school along with a Marquette University Lawyer’s Scholarship and St. Thomas More Scholarship.

He had an extensive trial practice for 36 years with over 80 civil cases tried to verdict in state and federal court, retiring in 2019.

Mr. Parlee has published numerous law review articles cited in several federal appellate and Wisconsin Supreme Court decisions including two landmark Wisconsin opinions concerning mass tort litigation, Collins v. Eli Lily and Thomas v. Mallet.  Other articles have been cited in Wisconsin Statutes Annotated and state appellate decisions outside Wisconsin.

He was named Best Lawyers in America “Lawyer Of The Year” in 2014 (personal injury defense), 2015 (product liability defense), 2016 (insurance law), 2017 (insurance law), and 2018 (insurance law).  He was listed in Best Lawyers in America from 2010 to 2018 and Super Lawyers–Wisconsin from 2005 to 2018.  In 2005 he won the State Bar of Wisconsin award for “Best CLE Books Author Collaboration.”  He received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest attorney ratings for legal ability and ethics for over 25 years.

Mr. Parlee is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Marquette, teaching the Trial Practice II workshop.
