Biography

Professor Rebecca Blemberg teaches Legal Writing & Research and The Law Governing Lawyers. Prior to joining the faculty, Professor Blemberg served as a prosecutor with the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. Professor Blemberg received her JD from New York University School of Law, where she served on the Editorial Board of the NYU Law Review and was a Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholar. Professor Blemberg served as a law clerk to the late U.S. District Court Judge John W. Reynolds, Eastern District Wisconsin. Professor Blemberg received her BA (magna cum laude) from Marquette University. She is a Harry S. Truman Scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Professor Blemberg has presented on topics such as incorporating ethics and professionalism lessons into legal writing courses and using Ignation principles and pedagogy to help students develop professional identity.  Professor Blemberg is an attorney volunteer with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic, and she has served as a volunteer tutor and teacher at Literacy Services in Milwaukee.  Professor Blemberg coaches several Moot Court teams.
