Biography
Benjamin Proctor has been an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Wisconsin since 2013. He specializes in computer crime and national security matters. From 2022 to 2023, he served as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice ‘s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section in Washington, D.C., focusing on ransomware and darknet market investigations. He has taught numerous programs on electronic evidence and cybercrime investigations for federal agents and prosecutors, and he is a recipient of the 2023 Assistant Attorney’s General’s Award for Distinguished Service. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Proctor was in private practice at a large firm and clerked for a U.S. District Court Judge. Mr. Proctor is a graduate of Marquette University Law School, where he served as Editor-In-Chief of the Marquette Law Review.
