As you likely know by now, law school is unlike any other experience you have gone through, educational or otherwise. For family and friends who are supporting you but may not know what it is like to be a law student, we are excited to offer them a glimpse into your lives.
Our Family, Friends, Parents & Partners event is designed for the spouses, parents, friends, and/or significant others of all Marquette law students to learn about the law school experience. They will tour Eckstein Hall, hear from members of the administration, and participate in a mock class taught by a faculty member. Just like a law student, they will have a reading assignment to prepare and may find themselves on call.
The event will take place in Eckstein Hall from 9:15 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026. We ask that law students do not attend the main program, but students are welcome to attend the light brunch reception that will close out the event.
You can RSVP online for your guests (please include guest contact information, so we can follow up with them directly).
Please RSVP by the end of the day on Friday, September 18. A reminder email with additional details on directions, the reading assignment, and more will be sent out to registered guests on Tuesday, September 22.
This event also lines up well with Marquette University Family Weekend, Mission Week, and Doors Open Milwaukee so there will be a variety of programs and opportunities available to get to know Marquette and the broader Milwaukee community.
We look forward to meeting family and friends on September 26!
