A former University of Richmond men’s water polo player and swimmer, Mr. Morris has extensive experience in sports marketing as Senior Vice President of Van Wagner Sports Group where he led their Olympic Division, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at US Ski & Snowboard (USSA), with the advertising agency BBDO New York where he rose through the ranks to become a Vice President and Media Director handling the national TV expenditure for several Fortune 500 companies.  As Executive Director he leads US Speedskating recognized by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the International Skating Union as the governing body for the sport of speed skating in the United States. The Organization has won 91 Olympic medals to-date, making it one of the most successful sports in U.S. Olympic history. Ted will be in town for the International Skating Union World Cup, which will take place at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee from January 31- February 2, 2025.  Many Sports Law Program students are volunteering and running different aspects of the World Cup.  Ted has also hosted a Sports Law Program intern for a number of years with USS, and current intern 2L Sports Law Program student Lizzie Palumbo will lead the discussion over lunch.  The event will begin at 12 pm in room 444.
