On Thursday, August 27, all first year and transfer students with an interest in the sports law program are invited to attend the program's Annual Orientation and Welcome Mixer. 2L and 3L Sports Law Program students can skip the orientation and join us for the Welcome Mixer at @5:40 pm. The Orientation meeting will begin at 5 pm in the Lubar Center, room 144. During the orientation meeting Professor Paul Anderson (Director, Sports Law Program), and Professor Aaron Hernandez (Director, National Sports Law Institute) will provide an overview of the sports law program including its purpose and your first year in law school, the Sports Law Certificate program and the process of earning the Certificate, early planning for the Sports Law Certificate Internship Program, the purpose for the National Sports Law Institute, fall 2026 sports law events, and the JD/MBA in Sports Business program. After the orientation meeting, the Sports Law Program's Peer to Peer Network will host a Welcome Mixer for new students on the patio outside of the Tory Hill Cafe until 7 pm. Student leaders from the Sports Law Program's student organizations will join to welcome new students to Marquette and the sports law program.
