On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Sports Law Competition Board will host the final round of the 2026 Professional Sports Negotiation Competition.  The final round will start at 5:00 pm in the Lubar Center (room 144) featuring Team 1, Lei Diego & Dylan Swensen competing against Team 12, Nick Owczarzak & JD Pirris. The final-round negotiation will involve a new Women’s Track League, ATHLOS, seeking to partner with Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Following the final round, the Sports Law Program will host a reception for all attendees in the Zilber Forum.  

Sports industry judges for the final round include -

  • Keegan Girodo, Marketing Counsel, NASCAR, Charlotte, NC (L’18),

  • Trevor Haley, Midwest Regional Scout, Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago, IL (L’06), &

  • Jill Ingels, Vice President of Legal and Business Operations, Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum, Adjunct Professor of Law, Marquette University Law School, Milwaukee, WI (L’17)

Please remember that if you are a first-year student interested in competing in the intramural competitions as a second year student and on a national team as a third year student – you should attend the final round tomorrow.  Second year students interested in being part of a National Team or being part of the Competition Board as third year students, must attend the final round.  Third year students don’t miss this opportunity to support your fellow students and network with our alumni guests.
