On Friday, October 16th, 2015, the National Sports Law Institute of Marquette University Law School will host its annual conference "Maintaining Fairness, Integrity and Safety in Sports." The conference will feature panels discussing fairness and integrity in sports, concussions and safety issues in sports, SafeSport, and sexual harassment issues in sport. Speakers participating in the conference include: Mary K. Braza, Partner, Co-Chair, Sports Industry Team, Foley & Lardner LLP; Michael Lenard, Vice President, International Council of Arbitration for Sport; Scott Bearby, General Counsel, National Collegiate Athletic Association; Norman Wain, General Counsel/Chief of Business Affairs, USA Track and Field; and John Long (L’09), chair, NCAA and Athletic Compliance Practice, and member of the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group, Michael Best and Friedrich LLP; among many others. The conference lunch will feature a keynote speech from Major League Baseball Commissioner Emeritus Allan H. (Bud) Selig.
The conference will take place in the home of the National Sports Law Institute of Marquette University Law School, Eckstein Hall, room 144.
