Sports Law Program Resources for Students

I also thought I would put together a page that can refer you to general resources applicable to our Program and the industry in general.

  1. Sports Law Program websitehttps://law.marquette.edu/programs-degrees/sports-law. All of the information related to our Sports Law Program and its academic requirements can be found here.
  2. National Sports Law Institute website - https://law.marquette.edu/national-sports-law-institute/welcome. Information related to the Institute, our overall mission, and our Board of Advisors, can be found here. I consider all Sports Law Certificate candidates to be members of the Institute.
  3. MU Sports Law Twitter pagehttps://twitter.com/musportslaw.  A lot of you follow this one already.  More active eventually when we all get through this. Any experts who want to contribute to/maintain this, please contact Professor Anderson.
  4. Sports Law Research website - https://law.marquette.edu/national-sports-law-institute/sports-law-research-website.  This is a website that I created as part of my research course. In a time when we are all stuck at home and online so to speak it could be a great resource for learning about all aspects of the sports industry.  Students help update every part of this page each summer.
  5. Sports Facility Reports website - https://law.marquette.edu/national-sports-law-institute/sports-facility-reports - this is a facility based publication students have helped me put together each summer for the past 2 decades. Those of you interested in the sports facility business may find this interesting.
  6. Recent Developments in Sports Lawhttps://law.marquette.edu/national-sports-law-institute/recent-developments-sports-law-formerly-you-make-call.  The Marquette Sports Law Review publishes an update of recent developments in the industry each year - it is found on this page.
  7. Sports Law Career Website - https://law.marquette.edu/national-sports-law-institute/sports-and-sports-law-career-resources-website. Each summer students help me update this page putting together career resources for the sports law industry.
  8. Sports Law Society email - the Sports Law Society sends out a periodic email that is a great resource for students with job and internship postings. Contact the board members and join the Society if you do not recieve this email.
  9. Marquette University alumni in Sports & Entertainment alumni-run site on LinkedIn is a way to connect with Marquette alums and students in the sports industry.  I do not connect with students on linked in as I already can connect with all of you directly, and many on this cite are not my students.
  10. Sports Law Certificate Class of 2022 Microsoft Team - I sent all of an invitation to join this Team today.  I plan to provide general information as needed to our class of 2022 on this Team cite moving forward.
