FedSoc Presents: Title IX and Controversies in Women's Sports
Please join The Federalist Society in welcoming Matt Sharp for “Title IX and Controversies in Women's Sports.” Attorney Sharp is senior counsel with Alliance Defending Freedom, where he is the director of the Center for Public Policy. Matt will speak on recent litigation challenging the Biden administration’s new Title IX regulations, which clarified protections against discrimination based on gender identity.
A hotly contested issue and one that crosses ideological divides, as twenty-five states have passed laws to prohibit individuals who identify as transgender from participating in women’s sports. Attorney Sharp will discuss, from his experience, how this controversy originated and what future litigation might look like.
