Marquette University Student Sports Summit
All Marquette students (including law students) are welcome to attend the University's Student Sports Summit to engage with leaders in sports, from data analytics and sales to marketing and game-day operations, and to learn about career pathways and future opportunities.
The Student Sport Summit will be held Friday, September 27, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union ballrooms. Hear from keynote speaker, Sophia Minnaert, Milwaukee Brewers, reporter and broadcast and digital features content director, before selecting breakout sessions to attend. Guest speakers from the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, Marquette University, Nashville Predators, and the Big East Conference, among others, will discuss careers in sports. The event will close with a networking reception.
Breakout sessions include:
- Operations: Game Day, Business, Retail
- Sales: Tickets, Sponsorships
- Analytics: Data Science, Ticket Sales, Marketing
- Marketing: Strategy, Athlete-Brand Promotion, Fan Engagement
- Journalism: Broadcast, Sports Journalism, PR
- Administration: Law, Finance, NIL
