Financial Aid

Marquette Law School is a dynamic place to pursue your legal education, and we are mindful that cost is an important factor for students. The majority of our students use student loans to help cover their educational expenses.

Should you have specific questions or seek counseling regarding the student loan process, please contact Marquette Central

Applying for Federal Student Loans

The Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) gathers information about your financial resources in order to determine your expected contribution toward law school expenses. Filing the FAFSA is required to be eligible for need-based federal unsubsidized loans. If you hope to secure student loans for the upcoming academic year, we strongly encourage you to submit the 2026-2027 FAFSA as soon as possible. Marquette's federal school code is 003863.

Applying for Private Alternative Loans

We encourage students to compare private loan details, e.g.,  interest rates, repayment terms, and eligibility. Private loans may be appropriate to bridge expenses beyond those covered by institutional scholarship awards (if applicable) and federal student loans.
