2020 Sports Law Collegiate Athletics Negotiation Competition Final Round

On Thursday, November 5, 2020, Marquette's Sports Law Competition Board will host the final round of its Collegiate Athletics Negotiation Competition. The competition will run from 5:40 pm until @7:00 pm on Microsoft Teams.  

The final round will feature semifinalist teams of Abby Glaus and Laurel Montag versus Morgan Hines and Francesca Voci.  The final round will focus on a contract between a broadcast livestreaming contract between the Big East and NBC, before a panel of members of the National Sports Law Institute's Board of Advisors, including

  • Eryn Doherty (L'00), Vice President for Labor Relations, NBCUniversal Media LLC, Universal City, CA,
  • Matt Mikrut, Director, Office of the Committees on Infractions, National Collegiate Athletic Association, and Adjunct Professor,  Indiana University-Bloomington, Indianapolis, IN,
  • Craig Pintens (L’01), Athletic Director, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA, and
  • Bill Scholl, Vice President and Director of Athletics, Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI.

If you are interested in further information about the competition, please contact Competition Board Chair, and third year Sports Law Program student Amanda Bethel.   The winners of the competition will receive an invitation to participate in a National Sports Law Competition during the 2021-2022 academic year.  Register to attend the final round by 5 pm on Wednesday, November 4th.  A Teams invitation will be sent to all attendees the morning of November 5th.
