On Wednesday, August 28, all first year and transfer students with an interest in the Sports Law Program are invited to attend the Sports Law Program's Annual Orientation and Welcome Mixer. 2L and 3L Sports Law Program students can skip the orientation and join us for the Welcome Mixer at @5:40 pm.
The Orientation meeting will begin at 5 pm in the Lubar Center, room 144. During the orientation meeting Professor Paul Anderson (Director, Sports Law Program and National Sports Law Institute), and Professor Mitten (Executive Director, National Sports Law Institute) will provide an overview of the Sports Law Program including
- The purpose of the Sports Law Program and your first year in law school,
- The Sports Law Certificate program and the process of earning the Certificate,
- Early planning for the Sports Law Internship Program,
- The National Sports Law Institute of Marquette University Law School,
- Fall 2024 Sports Law Events, and
- The JD/MBA in Sports Business program
After the Orientation Meeting, the Sports Law Program's Peer to Peer Network will host a Welcome Mixer for new students on the patio outside of the Tory Hill Cafe until 7 pm. Student leaders from the Sports Law Program's the Sports Law Society, Diversity Inclusion Committee, Peer-to-Peer Network, Alumni Outreach Committee, Sports Law Competition Board, and Marquette Sports Law Review, will join us to welcome new students to Marquette and the Sports Law Program.
