Marquette Law School alumni who have legal interviewing experience and are willing to share their expertise are invited to participate in the Law School’s Alumni Mock Interview Program (AMIP), a program designed to assist Marquette Law School students in developing and honing the skills necessary to successfully interview for legal positions.
Alumni volunteers conduct one-on-one interviews with students for the purpose of providing constructive feedback regarding the student’s interviewing skills. Each interview is scheduled for 30 minutes; 20 minutes for interview questions and 10 minutes for the attorney to provide feedback. Interview schedules are set up to accommodate alumni and student availability.
The Career Planning Center encourages students to treat the mock interviews as real interviews in every respect and directs students to prepare accordingly.
Mock interviews scheduled for August 2023 will be virtual, with interviews being conducted via a virtual meeting platform, e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom. Virtual interviews enable students and alum to participate regardless of location, allowing students to connect with and learn from alumni beyond those who are in close proximity to the Law School.
If you would like to participate in the AMIP as a volunteer interviewer, please complete and submit the online form. Preference will be given to alumni with legal recruiting and interviewing experience. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact the Career Planning Center at 414.288.3313 or mulawcareers@marquette.edu.
