In order to amend your law school admission application, you will need to write a business letter (see sample business letters in the CPC's Writing Effective Letters Guide), addressed to Law School Registrar Nicole Toerpe Mason as the recipient.
The letter must include the following:
- the information that you did not disclose or disclosed with an error, and
- your reason for the omission or error.
The letter must be sent as an attachment to an email to lawstudentservices@marquette.edu, but the explanation itself cannot be in email form.
You will receive a response in receipt of your amendment. Your letter, as well as a copy of the Law School's formal response, will be attached to your application and retained in your permanent file at the Law School.
If you submit the amendment after the date on which the BBE reviews files of graduating students, the Law School will send the BBE your amendment and the Law School's response, in addition to placing these documents in your file.
If you've been notified by the Supreme Court of Wisconsin Board of Bar Examiners (BBE) that you must amend your law school admission application, simply indicate in your letter that this request is in response to an inquiry from the BBE. The Law School will then copy the BBE officials on her response to your request.
If you wish to review your application prior to submitting an amendment, please complete the appropriate form on the Law School's Academic and Records Request Form page.
