Student Services

Data Storage and backup

We recommend that all students backup their critical files on a regular basis to either an external drive or a clouds storage solution. The rule of thumb is to backup anything that can’t be replaced. Marquette University students may use Microsoft OneDrive for Business with 1TB storage while enrolled as students. Other storage options include Google Drive (15GB free) and iCloud (5GB free).

Lecture/Event Capture

Lecture capture is available for students with the permission of their professor. Faculty are responsible for scheduling and recording classes. The student(s) requesting the recording will be emailed a secure link requiring their Marquette login to view or listen to the recording. There is no guarantee of a successful recording. The recording is dependent on timely requests, scheduling, and proper functioning and use of hardware.  Contact your professor to request a recording.

Software

Microsoft Office & other software
Enrolled students are now able to install Office 365 and OneDrive for Business, for free, with 1TB of file storage. This includes Windows, Mac, and mobile devices. Full information can be found online at http://www.marquette.edu/its/help/getting/office-365-installation.shtml.

PrintWise
PrintWise is the campus-wide network printing solution. Allocation for enrolled students is $14.00 for Fall and Spring terms, and $7.00 for the Summer term. This allocation, called the PrintWise account, gets placed on his/her MarquetteCard.
