ABA Standards

Marquette Law School is accredited by the American Bar Association and a member of the Association of American Law Schools.

Standard 504(a) of the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admission to the Bar Standards for Approval of Law Schools requires the Law School to remind prospective applicants that, in addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.

Standard 509(a) of the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admission to the Bar Standards for Approval of Law Schools requires that “[a]ll consumer information that a law school reports, publicizes or distributes shall be complete, accurate and not misleading to a reasonable law school student or applicant.”

Standard 509(b) requires information to be publicly disclosed on a law school's website in various particular categories.
