Welcome to the Ray & Kay Eckstein Law Library, a library without borders that is fully integrated into Eckstein Hall and the law school community on all four floors. The entrance to Eckstein Hall is accessible, and elevators facing the Zilber Forum provide access to the four floors of the library collection.

LAW STUDENTS AND LAW FACULTY
Members of the law school community with a Marquette Law Student, Staff, or Faculty ID card may enter Eckstein Hall by tapping their card at the lobby entrance. The MU ID card is also used to check out library and reserve materials.
MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS and FACULTY
Non-law school faculty, students, and staff may use their MU ID cards to gain entrance to Eckstein Hall and check out circulating materials. Please note the Restricted Access policy below.
LAW LIBRARY CARD PATRONS
Patrons holding library cards may tap their cards at the lobby entrance to gain entrance to Eckstein Hall and the law library. Please note the Restricted Access policy below.
PUBLIC PATRONS CONDUCTING LEGAL RESEARCH
The law library is open to the public for purposes of conducting legal research. Please follow all Eckstein Hall visitor policies noted on the Eckstein Hall Contact and Hours page. Public patrons must register at the lobby desk upon entering Eckstein Hall by signing in and showing a picture identification card. Please note the Restricted Access policy below. In addition, login credentials are required to use computers. Plan to visit during library service hours to request temporary credentials from a reference librarian. Visitors may also connect to Marquette's Guest Wi-Fi from their own devices.
RESTRICTED ACCESS
Access to Eckstein Hall 3rd and 4th floors is restricted to the law school community after 4:00 pm during the week, all day on Saturdays and Sundays, and during the summer, exam periods, and interim periods. To use library collections on these floors when access is restricted, please see a reference librarian during library service hours.
LIBRARY SERVICE HOURS
Library Service Hours vary from Eckstein Hall Building Hours. If you require help from the reference librarians or the library staff at the circulation desk, be sure to plan your visit during Library Service Hours.
Public access to government documents through the Federal Depository Library Program
The Ray & Kay Eckstein Law Library is a participant in the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) and receives select publications from the Government Printing Office (GPO). Under the terms of the Depository Library Program, these government documents are available for use by the public during all the hours the law library is open to the public. Patrons requiring assistance with government documents may request help at the reference desk during service hours.
