Labor & Employment Law: LEL Society

Labor and Employment law is an exceedingly diverse area of the law that allows attorneys to practice in a wide array of fields. LELS (Labor & Employment Law Society) provides an opportunity for students to experience those fields in numerous forums. With one of the best networking programs in the school, members of LELS will have opportunities to grow their own networks via career panels and multiple networking events. LELS also sponsors competitive mock trial and moot court teams, and brings in some of the leading legal academics and practitioners from around the globe.

As a practice, labor and employment law is growing rapidly. While it has always been a staple in American society, it is becoming an essential element in corporations and law firms alike. From Title VII discrimination claims, to ERISA questions, to the brand new ACA (Affordable Care Act) regulations, labor and employment law continues to expand. This influx has contributed to the need for labor and employment attorneys that has led to success stories for countless legal graduates.

As a society, LELS does not ask for a lot of your time, but, instead, offers you a path to success.
